Karen Galipeau Forner is the founder and managing member of Employer Solutions Law in Bellevue, Washington. Karen represents employers in the areas of workplace safety, workers’ compensation, administrative appeals and employment law. She is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars and to employer groups. Karen offers on-site training and presentations on diversity, harassment, employment law and other topics to meet client needs.
Karen has almost 25 years’ experience defending and resolving a wide range of Workers’ Compensation, WISHA and Employment Law matters. Prior to Employer Solutions Law, Karen worked as a Senior Attorney at a law firm in Seattle for two and a half years. From 1993-1997 Karen worked at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. She was the Program Advisor for the industrial insurance and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) Discrimination Program. Karen also litigated complex WISHA, Industrial Insurance, Third Party and Crime Victims Compensation Act cases.
In 1987, Karen received her Baccalaureate degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1991 from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was also an Associate Editor for the Washington Law Review. Karen is committed to the community. She has served on the Boards of Directors of Earth Share of Washington, Sound Mental Health and Eastside Domestic Violence Program. She was appointed member of the Washington State Bar Association’s Committee for Diversity and recently served on the WSBA Character and Fitness Board.
Brian Padgett joined Employer Solutions Law in 2014. His primary focus is Workers' Compensation and Employment Law.
Before he joined Employer Solutions Law, Brian worked for a national disability advocacy firm and a Washington State plaintiff's injury firm where he handled workers' compensation and disability cases. When he graduated law school, Brian spent time working for the New York City Public Advocate (now Mayor Bill de Blasio) as a legal intern conducting legal research and drafting policy analysis reports. Prior to attending law school, Brian was an accomplished stage actor, performing in productions at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, New York City, and New England regional theatres.
Brian received his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University). He also has his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Oregon University. He lives in Seattle with his wife where he enjoys spending time with his friends and family - especially outdoors when the sun is shining!
Erin joined Employer Solutions Law in January of 2018 as an Associate Attorney. She brings with her a wide breadth of experience in commercial litigation, business law, and bankruptcy law. Because of her experience working in and with family owned businesses and closely held businesses, she understands the need to ensure that any recommended course of action must be both a good business decision as well as a sound legal strategy.
Erin received her B.A. in Business Administration with a focus on Business Management, Finance, and International Business from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. She received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law where she focused her studies on Business and Corporate Law.
When not working at Employer Solutions Law, Erin lives in Bellevue with her husband, their two daughters, and too many pets.
